Louisiana law permits up to 71 grams of marijuana flower per 14-day period plus other approved product forms.
Louisiana does not restrict access to a fixed list of qualifying conditions. Under La. R.S. 40:1046, any authorized Louisiana clinician may issue a recommendation if, in their sincere professional judgment, therapeutic marijuana may be helpful to the patient's condition or symptoms. Houma patients with virtually any chronic, recurring, or debilitating condition may qualify based on their clinician's individual clinical assessment.
